Amethyst Man
lebeado’s brilliant – I go into the Durham shop nearly every Wednesday to buy something
for my wife. Some weeks it’s something pre-made – some weeks the old creative flair
comes out and (generally with a bit of help from the staff) I make the jewellery
myself. My wife’s favourite stone? Amethysts. That’s why the girls in the shop call
me “Amethyst Man.” I’m assuming they’ve got me the tights and the cape for Christmas…

Perfect Present
My wife was pregnant with our first baby and I wanted something really special for
her. I went into lebeado not really knowing what to get – to be honest there was
so much choice I was a bit blown away. One of the staff asked me what my wife’s
birthstone was – her birthday’s March, so her birthstone is Aquamarine (need a link
her to a birthstone chart – I looked it up at 24carat.co.uk, but we can do a better
chart). Anyway, we sat round the beading table and came up with the most perfect
bracelet in different shades of pale blue. Not quite as beautiful as our baby girl,
but not far off…
